Final Piece 2 – Abstract Photography

Can you remove the beauty from skin by removing its most recognisable form in the same way that the beauty is removed when the skin is removed?

Removal of image vs. Physical removal

Looking back at some of my first work and the work of John Coplans, as my second final piece I decided to return to photography.

Both my final pieces complete each other very well as they are both based on the idea of when dose the definition of beauty become gross and disgusting. Using the the body to manipoutlae its self into something that doesn’t represent the most widely recognised image of skin. Using black and whit imagery and physical distortion is what I have used to remove the common and most recognisable image of the body and therefore removal of the beauty of it.
